Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and for us, it felt right to keep things small, simple, and meaningful. We wanted a day where we could be fully present with each other, without the distractions of busy life events.
November felt like the perfect time — a quiet pause before the holiday rush and a chance to center ourselves in love. It also offered flexibility for both our schedules, allowing us to create a time that was truly ours from start to finish.
We didn’t want to wait for the "perfect moment" because, in truth, the perfect moment was the one we created together. Surrounded by family and a few close friends, we exchanged vows, shared a joyful meal, and soaked in every second of the day. It wasn’t about grand gestures or elaborate plans — it was about being fully present with the people we love most. And honestly, that’s all we could ever want.
If you’d asked us to imagine the most meaningful perfect wedding, this is exactly what we would have pictured. Simple. Joyful. Real.

When we pictured where we’d want to marry each other, we knew it had to be somewhere that felt timeless, grand, and full of heart. San Francisco City Hall checked every box. Its iconic Beaux-Arts architecture, sweeping marble staircases, and sunlit rotunda gave the day a sense of significance — a feeling that we were stepping into something bigger than ourselves.
But it wasn’t just about the beauty. San Francisco has always felt like a place where love in all its forms is celebrated. The city’s rich history of LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy made it feel especially meaningful to say "I do" there. In many ways, it felt like standing on the shoulders of all those who came before us — a quiet acknowledgment of the love stories that made ours possible.
We wanted a setting that was elegant without being overstated, intimate without being isolating. Surrounded by our closest loved ones, we stood together under that grand dome, and for a moment, it felt like the whole world paused for us.

We started the day with a quiet moment together, exchanging personal vows on the upper floor overlooking the grand main hall. With our family and closest friends by our side, it was a chance to be fully present with each other before the official ceremony began.
Afterward, we met with our photographer to capture some of those first special moments. Then it was time to get in line for the official ceremony. We made our way to the top of the rotunda — a breathtaking, sunlit space where marble and grandeur meet. Standing together in front of our loved ones, we said "I do," and sealed it all with a kiss. The ceremony was short but powerful, about 15 minutes in total — just enough time to feel every word of it.
Once the ceremony was complete, we gathered everyone for group photos. Afterward, it was just the two of us. We stayed behind with our photographer to wander through City Hall, capturing those quiet, just-married moments that felt like us. No big crowd, no rush —just joy, love, and the feeling that we’d never forget this day.

After our ceremony at San Francisco City Hall, we continued the celebration with an intimate lunch at Wayfare Tavern — a cozy, classic spot that felt just right for the moment. Surrounded by family and close friends, we kicked things off with drinks that perfectly matched our moods: Aperol Spritz for Chase, Old Fashioned for Ian, and Margaritas all around for everyone else. It set the tone for a celebration that was equal parts relaxed, joyful, and a little bit fancy.
Our waiter went above and beyond, bringing warmth and charm to every interaction. At one point, he surprised us with appetizers for the table — on him — and shared a moment that stuck with us. "How does it feel?" he asked with a knowing smile. When we both answered, "About the same," he replied, "That’s how you know it’s real love." It was one of those little moments that felt bigger than it seemed, and it stayed with us the rest of the day.
We shared a feast of American-style comfort food — hearty, delicious, and exactly what we needed after such an emotional morning. We kept the tradition alive with a small dessert, where we did the classic "first bite" moment.
After lunch, we all made our way back to our hotels, hearts full and spirits. But for us, the celebration wasn’t quite over. Back at our room, we popped a bottle of champagne — to toast to the past, present and forever.
We spent the rest of our time in SF exploring the beautiful views, unique restaurants, and bustling nightlife.

Chase and Ian are currently in the process of moving back to San Antonio, a city that holds a special place in their hearts. It’s where they first met, where Ian’s family resides, and where they’ve always felt a sense of home. They’ll be settling there for the next several months while Chase finishes up the last stretch of his 4th year of medical school. With only a few in-person requirements remaining, this move gives them a chance to enjoy time with family and prepare for their next big adventure.
Chase is currently in the middle of interviewing for a four-year psychiatry residency position, which will determine where they move next in June 2025 He’s had interviews with programs across the country, including programs in NYC, New Haven (Yale), Chicago, San Diego, and Seattle. It seems that the Northeast — especially NYC — is the top contender. We will find out on Match Day—Friday March 21st, 2025.
Thankfully, Ian’s remote job allows them the flexibility to make this move with ease. While they’ll miss being close to family, they plan to stay connected with regular visits to Texas and hope friends and loved ones will come visit them, too — wherever they land.
The next year holds big changes for them both, but with each step, they’re moving forward together. Here’s to new beginnings, new cities, and the same steady love.

We know weddings are often big, sweeping affairs — and believe us, we thought about it. But in the end, this felt like us. Small, intentional, and full of meaning. While we missed having everyone we love in the same room, we hope this website brings you right into the heart of it all. Thank you for your love, support, and understanding as we created this special moment in our own way.
We can't wait to celebrate with all of you in the future, and when we do, you can bet there will be hugs, champagne, and maybe even a dance floor. Until then, we hope these glimpses of our wedding day fill you with as much love as we felt on that day.
